I would say 17000 km is not a lot for a motorcycle.  If the bike was looked after then it’s probably in excellent condition.  As for the price… as a total guess I think a new one would be $5000 – $6000.  But you should check for yourself.

Wanted to buy – Deep freeze

Well I haven’t done a list lately so here’s one.

  • Pictou County Search Classifieds will hit the 50000 visitors mark by the end of this month.
  • I bought 1000 business cards to help get the word out about Pictou County Search because PC Connects is doing so much advertising.  I need to catch up a little bit.
  • I have two directory sites, one for Pictou County and one for Halifax.
  • It appears Google and Blogger have combined in some way.  They could have been affiliated before but now you will be able to log into Blogger with you Google account info.  Right now it’s causing me some problems with logging into my Blogger account.  I hope they get that fixed soon.

Too Many Blogs.

Recently I wrote a post to one of my three blogs about how I had too many blogs to look after and how I would like to get rid of one.  Well I didn’t get rid of one, I actually gained one.  That’s right four blogs now.

The new blog belongs to the Halifax Nova Scotia Portal.  So I need to do a daily post on that blog to help promote the Portal.  That’s in addition to my daily posts here to help promote Pictou County Search.  And all of this just when my traffic seems to be dropping off for the classifieds.  I have to step up the promotions for the classifieds plus I need more traffic to Pictou County Links.

I was hoping all of these related sites would boost traffic for the others.  That may still happen, but I will need to work at some other things to boost my exposure.  One will probably have to be improving the quality of my blog articles.  I would love to have better quality posts, but I’m not really a writer.  I’m going to do my best to become a better writer though.  It can only help.

As for getting rid of one of my blogs – it may need to happen, I just have to decide which one.

I just got 1000 business cards yesterday for the classifieds page.  I am hoping this translates into more exposure for the site and any ads that are posted there.  I passed out a few already.

I have a few other ideas I plan to implement in the near future to increase local exposure.  One I am keeping a secret because it is easy to duplicate.  The other one I can make public because as soon as I begin it will be very obvious to anyone viewing the classifieds.

I’m going to scout out one of the smaller car dealers that needs local advertising/exposure.  Then I will offer them a section in the classifieds.  The category title would be the business name ( Bob’s used car sales).  All the ads will be vehicles they have on their lot.  So I get free content to promote and they get free advertising and the users get more usefull information on how to find what they want.
